Every Christmas, the city of Benidorm prepares a repertoire of activities for the enjoyment of young and old alike. For example, a street market is set up in the Parque de Elche or attractions of all kinds are placed, such as the Poblado de la Navidad, mechanical attractions at different points and inflatable castles in the streets Gambo, Alameda, Martínez Alejos and the Paseo de la Carretera. However, this year there are many changes due to the Covid-19. We explain you how to enjoy Benidorm to the fullest at Christmas.
Activities programmed this Christmas in Benidorm

This year things are different. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the attractions, the schedules and the capacity will be altered. But this does not mean that there is not plenty of entertainment to enjoy during the winter holidays.
For example, there will be different open-air theatre performances in a show called “Benidorm Christmas Dreams”. In addition, decorations have been placed with the word “gracias” (thank you), both in Valencian and Spanish, in order to convey the gratitude of the citizens for their work.
Other plans to enjoy Benidorm at Christmas
If you spend a few days in Benidorm, you can do many activities that are not possible elsewhere.
Shopping is a fantastic option, but even more so these days! If you prefer to do it in a relaxed way, while you spend a few days resting, Benidorm is the best option. You have shops in Calle Gambo or Avenida Martínez Alejo. If you prefer to go to a shopping centre, Benidorm has one, La Marina shopping centre.
Another option for shopping is to go to Alicante, half an hour’s drive from the city centre. There you will find more shops and shopping centres where you can enjoy a day of shopping. You can also go by coach, if you prefer.
If you are willing to move around the province and the circumstances allow it, the possibilities of fun increase. One of these options is to go to Jijona, the birthplace of turrón. Every year there is a street market where they sell a variety of turrones of the highest quality and other sweets, such as the Christmas trunk. There are also marzipans, polvorones and chocolates. Although it is true that this year there is no flea market, the turón and candy factories sell their products directly to everyone who approaches them, in fact, you can also visit some of them!
Another option is to enjoy nature walks. The good weather and the cool but mild temperatures are ideal for moving around some of the natural areas surrounding the city. For example, the Sierra Helada or Puig Campana from the town of Finestrat. Clear days are also perfect to go to the viewpoints and enjoy the views.
Camping Villamar offers you the possibility to enjoy Benidorm at Christmas. You can request a stay in a mobile home and feel at home. Each one is equipped with crockery, kitchen utensils, bed linen and towels. They are divided into two rooms, a living room and a bathroom with shower. They can comfortably accommodate a family of four or five. And, of course, they have heating, so that you are comfortable when the temperatures drop.
