However, although this is one of the best ways to travel, its main inconvenience lies in having to find further transport to your final destination. For this reason, we’ve outlined the best ways to reach our campsite from the nearest airport to Benidorm, making things easy for you!
What is the nearest airport to Benidorm?
The nearest airport to Benidorm, which also has the most transport options to the city, is Alicante–Elche, which is less than 60 kilometres away. It has just one passenger terminal and all the services and facilities you could need while you wait for your flight when leaving and your next form of transport when arriving. These include WiFi and a luggage storage service as well as a ton of shops!
In addition to being the nearest airport to Benidorm, Alicante Airport has more than seven companies offering direct flights from the United Kingdom to Alicante with almost daily departures, especially during high season. Companies like British Airways, EasyJet, Ryanair and Vueling are some of the many airlines you can fly with on holiday. Once on board, you’ll be under the blazing sunshine and blue skies in little more than two hours.

By bus
Benidorm Bus Station is the best option if you are looking for cheap, easy transport. It will take around 45 minutes to reach Benidorm Bus Station and will cost approximately €10, directly from the airport. From here, you can easily take a taxi to our campsite, which will take barely 10 minutes. Alsa and Vectalia are two of the bus companies that offer these routes.
By bus and tram
When travelling from the nearest airport to Benidorm, Alicante, some people prefer the combination of tram and bus to reach our campsite. Some of the reasons include the greater number of departures available on the tram, although the price is usually roughly the same as the previous option and it takes slightly longer.
At the airport, take line C6, which offers departures every 20 minutes, to the Luceros stop in Alicante. From there, take the tram to Benidorm
By taxi
Taxi is a very quick way of getting to Benidorm from the airport, although it costs more than all other options. It can be worth it if you’re travelling with three or four people. In a taxi you will only take 55 minutes to get here and you won’t have to wait. Furthermore, you can take one from the terminal exit and it will leave you right at the doorstep. The price will vary between €60 and €80, not including the respective taxes.
Transfer
A transfer is another quick, cheap form of transport from Alicante Airport to Benidorm. As well as being direct, times can be fully personalised. This is not an expensive service as, in the majority of cases, this is a shared transfer. In addition to typical minibuses, you can also enjoy transfers by bus, private sports cars and even 4x4s. Car hire
If you require greater independence when getting from the airport to Benidorm, you always have the option of hiring a car and driving to the city. In the airport itself there are many car hire companies. However, to avoid the queues we suggest you book in advance.
